Hello Comrades,
Well here’s hoping you all had a good Summer! When one season ends the next brings new opportunities and so it is for us. Fall sees the sports starting up again and we start next Sat. 8th Sept. with a Crib tournament the sign up sheet is on the board. The cost is $25/person and there will be a light lunch provided.
Following that there is a Legion Crib Tournament on Sat. 22nd, the sign up sheet is also on the board. For this tournament teams of 4 are required to play in pairs and all players MUST be paid up Legion members at Br.#3 to enter. Next for sports will be the District sports Crib pairs which will be held on Sat. 13th Oct. again players must be paid up members of Br.#3 to enter.
PINKY’S will be open Sun. 2nd Sept. from 4 until 8pm but after that they will be closed and reopen on Sept.18th. The girls are taking a well earned rest after a very busy Summer!!! Food will still be available and weather permitting we hope to do BBQ or something similar on Friday nights.
We are hoping to get “THE CRITTERS” back early Oct. but this has yet to be confirmed so watch out for info on Facebook and our website for more info. One night that is booked though is for Sat. 20th Oct. when we see the return of JASON SCOTT as NEIL DIAMOND! This was a sell out last time he was here and we are so looking forward to him returning. Tickets will be $30 and available at the bar early October.
In the last newsletter we announced an OPEN HOUSE/AWARDS afternoon for paid up MEMBERS & SPOUSES. The date for this has been changed from Sept 30th to Sun. Oct. 28th.
