Remembrance Day – November 11:
The Legion takes on the major responsibility for the perpetuation of remembrance by organizing November 11th Remembrance Day ceremonies honouring those who gave their lives in wars and military missions around the world, and does this through the Annual Poppy Campaign. Poppy funds collected are used for assistance to veterans, ex-service members and their families who are in need.

We encourage you to pay your respects in the days leading up to Remembrance Day either at the Canmore Legion or the Fields of Honour at the Canmore Cemetery.

Act of Remembrance
The Canmore Legion will be open to Veterans (Ordinary Members), Serving Members and their immediate families only until 2:00 pm on November 11th, 2020. After 2:00 pm we welcome our other members. Patrons are asked to remain at their tables while visiting.
